Hey Parents!thinking of a Bible verse but you can only think of a few of the words? Well, BibleGateway.com allows you to search different translations for verses that have those key words. You can even put up to 3 translations next to each other on the screen to compare. It has a number of Bible reading plans, reference materials, & search options o YouVersion.com (by LifeChurch.tv) is very similar to BibleGateway.com. It has a huge selection of Bible reading plans like reading through the Bible in a year, reading the New Testament in 30 days, chronological reading plans for the Old and New Testaments, and many, many more. YouVersion sports a big variety of Bible versions as well. You can create an account and keep track of your reading progress, save your notes on Scripture verses, see other peoples’ notes, . They can even send you reminders and adjust your plan to catch up if you fall behind. You can download the Bible app for your iPod, iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry, Widows Phone, or Android phone and have access to your reading plans and the Bible on the go! · http://www.simplyyouthministry.com o http://www.youthministry.com/article-library o Simply Youth Ministry’s website is a broad resource for youth ministers and youth volunteers. Click on the “Family” tab for great info on parenting, marriage, & more. · http://www.focusonthefamily.com/parenting.aspx o Focus On the Family has been a powerful voice in the U.S. for Biblical family values. Their website has some awesome material, info, articles, & resources for families. · http://www.youthspecialties.com/articles o Youth Specialties is another great ministry resource. But, like many others, it has some great info for parents! Check out their articles tab to see more… o XXX Church is a great resource for information on Internet pornography. If you or someone you know is struggling with pornography, this site will be a BIG help. They offer blogs, articles, stats, monitoring software, and more in order to help with porn addiction. As well as, information on how to make your (or your child’s) computer, iPod, iPad, iPhone, & Android phone kid friendly when it comes to what content is available on them. o X3 Watch is the software produced by XXX Church to monitor you computer’s internet usage. It will track web browser usage, monitor 1Peer-to-Peer (P2P) software, and monitor video use on the computer. You can also block inappropriate websites & web searches, P2P programs, & YouTube videos. It can be installed on your (or your child’s) desktop, laptop, iPod, iPad, iPhone, or Android phone and it will run on both Windows and Mac computers. Check their site out for more information. 1 LimeWire, FrostWire, BitTorrent, iMesh, Morpheus, Cabos, etc… If you don’t know what P2P is, ask your children and they should be able to tell you.
